Angel Kyodo Williams Sensei is an author, idiosyncratic spiritual teacher, master trainer, and founder of transformative change. Since the publication of her critically acclaimed book Being Black: Zen and the Art of Living With Fearlessness and Grace, she has been building a bridge between the worlds of personal transformation and justice. Her new co-authored book Radical Dharma: Talking Race, Love & Liberation is a powerful awakening journey that ignites communities – activists, Buddhists, and beyond – to have the conversations necessary to become more awake and aware of what the Liberation hinders the self and society. The radical Dharma events emerging from the book: Connections, Circles, and Conversations initiated deep healing and deepened the commitment to reducing oppression across races, classes, gender, sexual orientation, and other divides.

Taryn Toomey is the founder and CEO of The Class, a mindful exercise practice that brings awareness into everyday life. Taryn learned early on that her inner compass was based on her ability to regulate herself with movement and music. Driven by a sense of connectedness with the spirit, she immersed herself in various rituals, ceremonies, prayers, spiritual traditions and psychotherapeutic work and unconsciously laid the foundation for what would later become The Class. In 2013 she founded the cathartic workout, which combines movement, mindfulness, music and sound to strengthen the body and activate the mind. Believing the method to be scalable, Taryn opened the Tribeca studio in 2017. At the end of 2019, she launched the digital platform The Class, which brings practice to students around the world.
